St. Luke's Hospital - Miners Campus recently announced plans to open a 7,600-square-foot medical center in downtown Tamaqua this spring.

The Tamaqua Medical Center will be located at the site of the former Rite Aid Pharmacy, 137 Railroad St..The center will offer outpatient orthopaedic services, sports medicine and x-ray services. It will also incorporate outpatient laboratory services.The St. Luke's Orthopaedic Specialist practice of Dr. Chandra Reddy, currently located on the third floor at St. Luke's Miners Hospital, will be relocating to the new site.Fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Reddy began seeing patients at St. Luke's Miners in April of 2011.The hospital added that new additions to the staff include cardiologists Richard Kolecki, MD, Sobhan Kodali, MD, Lynn Moran, DO and Christopher Cutitta, DO; medical oncologist Renu Lamba, MD; surgical oncologist Rod Quiros, MD; and Jonathan Bingham, MD, who recently started with the new St. Luke's Urology Service at the Miners Campus.St. Luke's Hospital - Miners Campus, which provides a wide variety of health care services, is a fully accredited, not-for-profit, 45-bed acute care hospital and is accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The Miners Campus is affiliated with the nationally recognized St. Luke's University Health Network. It provides health care services to more than 11,000 people annually.
