A New Ringgold man, who had his parole revoked, was remanded to the Schuylkill County prison to serve the balance of his sentence. He pleaded for an early release so he could get married but his request was denied by Judge John J. Domalakes. He planned to marry a Tamaqua girl in August.

Lee F. Dermo, 27, of 29 Mush Dahl Road, also had his 213 days of liberty disallowed which created a new maximum date for release from prison at May 11, 2014. The judge gave him a window for an early release. The court ruled he is eligible to apply for parole if accepted into an approved treatment program by the adult probation office.He was cited for breaking several rules he had to obey while on parole. He traveled outside the country without first obtaining permission from his parole officer, he was late at times and failed to appear for group therapy sessions in Pottsville. His excuse was he drove around trying to pawn his cell phone, laptop in order to pay the $35 fee for each session. His parole officer told the court he was uncooperative, argumental and disrespectful to authorities.He had pleaded guilty on Aug. 17, 2011, to indecent assault on a woman in Mahanoy City and was sentenced to serve six to 23 months in the county prison and after serving his minimum was placed on parole.President Judge William E. Baldwin revoked the probations and paroles for the following:Ashley Ann Capiga, Shenandoah, had her probation revoked and she was re-sentenced to serve six to 12 months in the county prison on one count of retail theft from Turkey Hill Mini Mart with credit for serving 110 days and serve an additional 12 months probation on a second retail theft charge from Redner's Warehouse Market. Both stores are in Shenandoah.She had pleaded guilty to the two charges of retail theft and was placed on probation for 24 months last November.Tammy Lee Heffner, 55, Valley View, Hegins Township, had her parole revoked and her 264 days of liberty disallowed and added to her maximum sentence. Since she has served 31 days in the county prison the court granted her immediate parole with the condition she successfully complete outpatient treatment. Heffner had pleaded guilty in May 2011 to theft of a purse and was placed on probation for 18 months.Charles J. Wilson, 29, Ashland, had his parole revoked and was remanded to the county prison to serve the balance of his sentence and 117 days of liberty disallowed which extended his maximum date for release. The court told him it will not consider an application for parole before May 27, 2013.Wilson pleaded guilty on Dec. 21, 2011, to a charge of retail theft of a camera from Kmart Store, Schuylkill Mall, and after serving a month in prison was released on parole.Robert Adam Davis, 30, Pottsville, had his parole revoked and was re-sentenced on a charge of impersonating a public servant and criminal conspiracy to serve 12 to 36 months in a state correctional facility with credit for serving 57 days in the county prison. This was his second revocation. He originally pleaded guilty on Dec. 21, 2010, to the charges and after spending time in the county prison was placed on parole.Chad Everett Lytle, 38, Pottsville, had his probation revoked and was re-sentenced to serve three to 12 months in the county prison with credit for serving 31 days. He had pleaded guilty on Aug. 17, 2011, to possession of a controlled substance and was placed on probation.David J. Rich, 39, Mahanoy City, had his probation revoked and he was re-sentenced to serve six to 12 months in the county prison. He had pleaded guilty on Dec. 21, 2011, to selling or furnishing alcohol beverages to minors and was placed on probation.Randy Jarred Ratliff, 41, Gilberton, had his parole revoked and he was remanded to the county prison to serve the balance of his sentence and his 187 days of liberty were disallowed and added to the maximum date. He received credit for 113 days served.He was given a chance to regain parole but must be accepted into a rehabilitation facility. Ratliff pleaded guilty on Feb. 11, 2012, to driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and after spending time in prison was released on parole for five years.Joseph Brian McAndrew, 34, Ashland, had his probation revoked and he was re-sentenced to serve three to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving 54 days. McAndrew pleaded guilty on May 21, 2009, to possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and criminal use of cell phone and after spending time in prison was placed on probation for 46 months.Judge Charles M. Miller revoked the probation of Timothy Earl Hostetter, 26, Auburn, and re-sentenced him to serve one to two years in a state correctional facility with credit for serving 104 days in the county prison and he must obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommended treatment.Hostetter pleaded guilty on Nov. 25,2009, to a homicide by vehicle charge and after serving a sentence in the county prison was placed on parole for three years. He was involved in a head-on collision in Deer Lake Borough in January 2009.SentencedKevin Jones, 49, Pottsville, who was found guilty by a jury on Oct. 24, 2012, on a number of sex charges was sentenced by Judge Baldwin to serve 20 to 40 years in a state correctional facility with credit for time served in the county prison from July 25, 2012, to the present.He received a sentence of 10 to 20 years on two charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with person under 16 years of age and received sentences of one to two years to run concurrent on three other charges, corruption of minors, incest with a minor, and endangering the welfare of a child.
