Plans for a swimming pool in the proposed new Panther Valley High School have survived a cutback in the school design, it was revealed during a special meeting of the Panther Valley School Board when the curtailed plans were approved on a 7-2 vote. Originally the board planned a junior-senior high school. Voting for approval of the plans were Robert Stianche, William Whildin, John Mongi, William Knepper, Paul Sheers, Joseph Florentino, and John Terry. Opposed were John Morans, board president, and Anthony Vasilliou.
