VFW Ladies Auxiliary

The regular monthly meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial VFW was held Tuesday, March 12, at the Post Home. President Amanda Breiner presided.

A Miller bloodmobile collection was held at the Post on Jan. 16.

Nesquehoning Post hosted a district meeting on Feb. 17 for the Posts. The next auxiliary district meeting will take place Saturday at noon, hosted by the Walnutport Auxiliary at their Post. The department president will make her official visit at the meeting.

The District #20 Banquet will be held Saturday, April 20, at Tobyhanna.

The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 at the Post Home. There are several important issues on the agenda and members are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting to discuss the future of the auxiliary.

Summit Hill

St. Paul's news

Tonight a midweek Lenten service will be held at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 123 W. White St., Summit Hill, with the soup and sandwich supper starting at 6 p.m.

Holy Communion will be given at the 10:30 worship service on Sunday, March 10.

Church council will met at 7 p.m. on March 12.

On March 13 midweek Lenten service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansford and Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill on March 20. Services begin at 7 p.m.

Sunday school class at St. Paul's is held each week at 9 a.m. followed by worship services at 10:30 a.m. with Vicar Ben Seibert presiding. Visitors are welcome.
