Bringing help to Sea Bright

It was an emotional morning Saturday as dozens of volunteers from the group "Carbon County, Pa., helps Sea Bright N.J." packed up supplies that were donated by the community and drove to Sea Bright to provide much needed relief to the beach community that was devastated by Superstorm Sandy two weeks ago. In addition to area residents, KME/Kovatch Fire Apparatus in Nesquehoning sent over a dozen maintenance workers along to service fire apparatus in Sea Bright and the surrounding communities.

Check out tomorrow's TIMES NEWS for an in-depth look into the group's trip into Sea Bright and how it helped forge a lasting friendship between two communities.

AMY MILLER/TIMES NEWS The 53-foot trailer, donated by Fox Transportation of Tamaqua, is seen traveling into Nesquehoning, where it met with the maintenance team from KME/Kovatch Fire Apparatus before beginning its journey to Sea Bright, N.J. Behind the truck is a caravan of volunteers who all traveled to Sea Bright to help unload supplies and provide a little support to the area's residents who lost everything during the hurricane.
