Panther Valley Golden Agers

The Panther Valley Golden Agers will meet on Monday, April 30 at St. Joseph's Social Hall, Summit Hill at 1 p.m.The Annual Memorial Mass will be held May 14 at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend. Members interested in attending are asked to sign up at any meeting prior to the Mass. A meeting will follow the Mass in the social hall. Members of the chorus are asked to practice before the Liturgy.NesquehoningFood PantryThe Nesquehoning Food Pantry located in the Meed's Methodist church will hold its monthly distribution of nonperishable food items to the needy on Thursday, April 19. This will be the regular food distribution. The distributions will take place from 1-3:30 p.m. Recipients must reside in the borough of Nesquehoning and fall within TEFAP income guidelines. Persons who have been receiving food "boxes" are asked to note that no telephone reminders will be made.Please consider donating your time to help keep the food pantry operating for those in need.LansfordSt. John LutheranOn Wednesday at 7 p.m., St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will hold an informal worship. This will be a spiritual, peaceful, evening service with Holy Communion.
