An 18-store shopping mall may be coming to Franklin Township. Dr. Shyam Devani, who has a practice in both Lehighton and Palmerton, told the Franklin Township Zoning Hearing Board that he acquired 17 acres on Harrity Road above Platz's Restaurant two years ago and recently retained the services of Geho Architects to help plan a shopping mall on the triangle-shaped lot. Architect Franklin L. Geho said the project would cost $1,250,000.
