Dudefest benefits suicide task force

Published September 21. 2012 05:02PM

Tara Stauffenberg, left, presents a check for $3500 to Debbie Heim, chairperson of the Schuylkill County Suicide Task Force, and April Mitchell, Director of Finance for Schuylkill County VISION, following the fourth annual Dudefest, held Aug. 18 at the West Penn Rod and Gun Club. Stauffenberg began organizing the annual event following the suicide of her brother, Cory McCarroll on June 28, 2009, in an effort to raise awareness to help prevent suicides. This year's donation brings the three year total raised by Dudefest to $7,000.
