The Sunday School of St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will resume for the next school year on Sunday, Aug. 26 with Rally Day festivities at 9:15 a.m. in the church nave. Holly Jolly will be on hand to share the Noah's Ark story with the children and to create balloon animals and Christian symbols for their delight.

In addition to promoting students to their new classes and new teachers, those students who have completed the third-grade curriculum will be receiving their Bibles. They are Tyler Adamitis, Kendra Boger, Erin McArdle, Autumn Snyder and Timmy Tartaglia.

Refreshments will be served following the program. The Sunday School is open to children 2 years of age and older.
