State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes on Schuylkill County roadways.

A one vehicle crash occurred about 6:49 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, along First St., in Port Carbon. Troopers said Michael A. Morris, 25, of Port Carbon, was operating a 1991 Ford F150 pickup truck southbound and became distracted. He drove over an embankment on the south shoulder, then struck a utility pole with the passenger side front door, causing the truck to roll over onto its side.

The truck slid about 50 feet before coming to rest on the driver's side facing south.

Morris sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. Damages were termed significant to the truck.

Troopers cited Morris for careless driving.

Another crash was reported on Saturday, about 1:34 p.m., along Sweet Arrow Lake Road, in Washington Township. Troopers said a 17-year-old male juvenile from Orwigsburg was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Venture westbound and entering a curve when he crossed over the center line and struck a 2005 Ford F150 truck operated by Dale R. Moyer, 57, of Pine Grove, who was eastbound. The front of the Venture hit the drivers' side door of the Ford. Troopers said Moyer attempted to avoid a crash by steering to the right but could not.

Moyer suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Pine Grove ambulance personnel. The juvenile driver and his 16-year-old male passenger, from Cressona, were not injured.

Troopers cited the teen for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

A one vehicle accident occurred about 5:39 a.m. on Sunday, April 1, along E. Main St., in Hegins Township. Troopers said Zachery M. Hubler, 32, of Ashland, was operating a 1997 Ford Escort LX eastbound and approaching a curve in the road when he said he blinked his eyes and misjudged the sharpness of the curve.

His car went onto the berm for about 25 feet before striking a ditch. The car then traveled about three more feet before hitting a utility pole with the front end.

Hubler sustained a minor injury and was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., Pottsville, for treatment. The car had to be towed from the scene.

Hubler was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
