AMVETS to meet

Lehighton AMVETS, Elwood Miller Post 106, will hold its annual Christmas party meeting at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Lehighton Legion Post 314. Doors will open at noon with the meeting starting at 3 p.m.Band performingLehighton Area High School Band will hold its annual Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8. In conjunction with his concert there will be a fundraiser for the band to be able to purchase some much needed equipment.Kids Party Club activities plannedPeter's E.C. Church, 177 Main Road, Lehighton, (Franklin Township) is hosting a Kid's Party Club from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 10. Kid's Club Party offers Bible stories in a party atmosphere for children ages 5 to 12. There will be songs, Bible lessons, games and snacks. At this event, the children will be singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus. Second St., Lehighton, will host a free community dinner from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15. Everyone in the community is invited. The menu is ham, mashed potatoes, corn and Jell-O.
