Hancock St., McAdoo, alleging she owes $1,156.39 on her credit card plus interest and costs.Back taxesShenandoah Valley School District filed suit against Karen Williams, 431 Willing St., Tamaqua, claiming she owes back real estate school taxes on the property at 209 Pennsylvania Avenue, West Mahanoy Township.Mortgage foreclosureAmerican Residential Equities, Irving, Tex., filed suit against Leroy W. Breiner, Doris Breiner and Willard S. Bernheisel II alleging they are owners of a property at 24 Retreat Road, New Ringgold R.2 on which they took out a mortgage and that a balance of $59,679.50 plus interest and costs remains owed and seek foreclosure.ForeclosuresFinancial institutions filed suit against property owners for alleged default on mortgate payments and also seek foreclosures.Citi Property Holdings Inc., of Eureka, Calif., filed suit against Dorothy J. Gruver, 341 Ridge Road, New Ringgold, and Brian L. Gruver, 7346 West Moonmist Place, Tuscson, Ariz., who are claimed to be the mortgagers and owners of property at 341 Ridge Road, New Ringgold. A judgement of $200,988.96 is sought plus foreclosure and sheriff sale of property.GMAC Mortgage, LLC, filed sit against Jamal Moreen, of Sunnyside, N.Y., alleging he has defaulted on mortgage payments on property at 32 Ardmore Avenue, formerly Lafayette Avenue, Hometown, Rush Township. The suit seeks a judgment for $261,178.74 plus foreclosure and sheriff sale of property.Loses appealMichael T. Brode Sr., 43, of 35 E. Berea Avenue, Summit Hill, who appealed a guilty verdict imposed by a Magisterial District Judge of a game law violation was found not guilty of the violations of regulations pertaining to decal markers but was found guilty of possession or taking a wildlife. A state game warden charged he unlwfully hunted for whitetail deer. The court ruled the fine of $150 plus $23.50 costs imposed by the district judge stands.Modify bailJames Young, 39, Auburn, had the bench warrant issued against him dissolved by Judge Charles M. Miller after a hearing in court and the bail was modified to $5,000 percentage with stipulations attached. Young has to reside at 3378 Green Tree Drive, Auburn and cannot change his address without permission from District Attorney James P. Goodman. He also must obtain employment within 30 days and notifity his probation officer of where he is employed. He also cannot consume any alcoholic beverages or use any illegal drugs while out on bail and must submit to random tests. Young faces a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) on Dec. 17, 2010.Mark A. Tutko, 53, Shenandoah, petitioned the court to modify his bail but it was denied by Judge Miller. Tutko faces a charge of loitering and prowling at night.John Kyle Smith, 27, Schuylkill Haven, also was denied by Judge MIller modification of his bail. He faces a charge of possession of a firearm.John Michael Edwards, 26, Pottsville, motion to set bail was denied by Judge Miller. He faces a charge of theft.Michael C. Garvey, 32, of Shenandoah, his motion to reduce bail was granted and Judge Miller set bail at $25,000 percentage with certain restrictions. He must reside at 26 N. White St., Shenandoah, and cannot relocate without permission from District Attorney James P. Goodman. He cannot possess or consume alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs, cannot travel outside of Pennylvania without written permission from the district attorney, must submit to random tests, must secure and maintain gainful employment, must undergo an intensive outpatient treatment in a rehab center and must have not contact with Rite Aide Pharmacy or Redner's Market in Shenandoah while on bail. Garvey faces a charge of robbery.Guilty pleasHumberto Valdez-Perez, 58, inmate at the state correctional institution in Ryan Township, was sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller on a charge of assault by a prisoner with a homemade shank to serve three to six years with the sentence to run concurrent with a sentence he is now serving in the state prison imposed by Lancaster County Court. He also must pay a $500 fine and $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account.Miriam Leticia Malave, 37, Shenandoah, pleaded guilty to a number of criminal charges and Judge John E. Domalakes deferred sentencing to a later date and ordered a pre-sentence investigative report prepared by the adult probation department. Malave pleaded guilty to charges of criminal conspiracy, ethnic intimidation, terroristic threats and simple assault. She was cited by Shenandoah Patrolman Robert Senape.Lift bench warrantDevon Michael Shaak, 20, Pine Grove, who was brought to court on a bench warrant after he failed to appear at scheduled court dates had the warrant lifted by Judge Miller and bail was reinstated and special conditions were imposed. They were, he must live at his parent's home, shall not consume alcoholic beverage or use illegal drugs, submit to ramdon tests, shall not travel outside the state without permission from the district attorney and shall seek full time employment.Shaak was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program and it was revoked. He faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia brought by Minersville Patrolman Richard C. Clink.Revoke paroleJoseph John Yanochko, 27, West Hazleton, had his parole revoked by Judge Miller and he was re-committed to the county prison to serve the balance of his sentence and 17 days of liberty were taken away and added to his maximum date of release which was extended to July 21, 2012. He had pleaded guilty to charges of criminal trespass on property of Bernard R. and Margaret A. Kulkusky, Valley of Lakes Community, North Union Township. Trooper Edward Lizewski was the arresting officer.Seek perk testsA declaration of taking certain parcels of land in Walker Township for temporary easements to perform tests for installation of sewage facilities was filed in the county court by the township supervisors.Temporary easements are sought over properties of Deborah Yuskauskas, Cindy Williams, Lois Smarr, Stephen Comisac, Barbara Sidoriak, Marc Comisac and Glenn Comisac for the purpose of taking perk tests as required under Act 537 Plan.School taxesThe Tamaqua Area School District filed suit against Clyde Bachert alleging he is delinquent in amount of $1,754.80 in his school real estate tax on property at 300 E. Broad St., Tamaqua.Bail hearingsJudge Charles M. Miller held bail hearings for a number of defendants and made the following rulings.Larissa Young, 22, of 13 Ruddle St., Coaldale, had her bail reduced to $500 percentage cash and she must reside at that address, the resident's of her sister-in-law, and cannot relocarte without permission from District Attorney James P. Goodman. She also shall not possess or consume alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs, shall submit to random tests and shall secure and maintain gainful fultime employment and follow all standards of bail requirements. She faces an firearms charge.Jeremy Allen Snyder, 29, of 62 Heckman St., Quakake, had his petition to modity bail denied. He faces drug charges.Jesse Boylan, 23, Girardville, has his bail reduced to $500 percentage cash and he must reside at 232 E. Mahanoy Ave., Girardville, the home of his mother, and cannnot change addresses without the district attorney's permission, shall not possess or consume alcoholic beverages of illegal drugs cannot travel outside Pennsylvania without written permission from the district attorney, shall submit to random tests and seek gainful employment. He faces a charge of aggravated assault.Richard Arland Shutt, 39, Pottsville, had a bench warrant lifted and his bail reinstated and he must reside at an apartment at 1708 Market St. in Harrisburg and cannot relocated withot the district atorney's permission, shall not consume alcohol or drugs, cannot travel outside the state without permission from the district attorney and shall seek gainful employment. He faces an assault charge.Willliam B. Koenig, 39, Mechanicsburg, had a bench warrant lifted and bail reinstated and must reside at S. Locust Point Rd., Mechanicsburg, and cannot relocate or travel out of state without permission from the district attorney, shall not possess or consume alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs and seek gainful employment. He faces a charge of cashing a bad check.
