Four area residents among 35 to enter guilty pleas

Four area residents were among 35 who entered guilty pleas to criminal charges in the Schuylkill County court and were sentenced by Judge Jacqueline Russell as follows:

Christoper William Weston, 29, of 221 W. High St., Coaldale, on a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) was sentenced to serve one to five years in the county prison, pay a fine of $1,500, pay $300 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enforcement Account (CJEA), enroll in alcohol highway safety school, receive outpatient counseling, perform 20 hours community service, seek mental health treatment, and driver's license suspended 18 months.On a charge being involved in an accident causing injuries drew a concurrent sentence of six to 12 months in prison and on a charge of driving while his license wa suspended was fined $1,000. Weston was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Matthew Bynon. Weston was involved in an accident on Nov. 19, 2009, at intersection of W. Broad and Lehigh streets, causing injury to Bruce Kistler to whom he must make restitution of $1,053 and to Erie Insurance Company $274.30.Laverne Lefever Anderson III, 45, 236 East St., Coaldale, on a charge of theft of $10 from the metal coffee can belonging to Children's Miracle Networks, Pottsville, was sentenced to serve two to 12 months in the county prison and since she has served 62 days was granted immediate parole, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 20 hours community service.On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was sentenced to serve 12 months probation to run concurrent and pay $100 to SAE. Anderson was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Mark O'Toole.Candice Jean Filion, 53, of 301 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (CS) was sentenced to serve six to 12 months in the county prison, pay a fine of $200, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $428 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and perform 20 hours of community service.On a charge of possession of a CS was fined $200 and sentenced to serve six to 12 months concurrent to the first sentence. On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was sentenced to serve12 months on probation also to be concurrent. Hosier was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Joseph R. Welsh. She previously was in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) probation program which was revoked.Sherryl L. Schappell, 52, Hamburg, on a charge of theft by unlawful taking drug prescriptions from Saint Luke's Health Center, Claremont Avenue, Rush Township, was placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 20 hours community service. Duane Frederick.Jason James Eiler, 26, Pottsville, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was placed on probation 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, and perform 20 hours community service. On charges of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness was fined $25 each plus costs.Amanda M. Anderson, 22, Lebanon, on a DUI charge was placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) for six months, beginning with 15 days under house arrest followed by four months and 45 days on probation, pay a fine of $1,000, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, complete alcohol highway safety school, make restitution of $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, perform 20 hours community service and driver's license suspended 12 months. Anderson was cited by Pine Grove Cpl. Jeffrey Futchko. She was previously placed in ARD program which was revoked.Diane Marie Doncheski, 50, Ringtown, on a charge of DUI was placed in the IPP for six months with 15 days under house arrest and four months and 45 days on probation, pay a fine of $1,000, pay $300 to SAE, $50 to Catastrophe fund, attend safety school, receive outpatient counseling, perform 20 hours community service, make restitution of $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center and license suspended 12 months.On a charge of driving while her operating privileges were suspended was fined $200 plus costs and on a charge of failing to activate turning signals was fined $25 plus costs. Kotzmoyer.Ronnie Scott Fetterolf Jr., 18, Saint Clair, on a charge of defiant trespass was fined $100 and on a charge of trespass by motor vehicle fined $500 plus costs. Mark O'Toole.Robert Paul Rothermel, 22, Pottsville, on a charge of harassment of his mother was fined $50 plus costs. He was cited by Pottsville Patrolman John Mohl.Robert Michael Dilorenzo, 23, Auburn, on a charge of furnishing alcohol beverages to minors was sentenced to serve 73 days to 12 months in the county prison and since she has served her minimum sentence was released on parole, pay a fine of $1,000, pay $50 to CJEA, $50 to district attorney's office for bench warant and perform 20 hours community service. Diloenzo was cited by Pottsville Patrolman John Mohl. He was previously in the ARD program.Brandon Stephen Moyer, 22, Mechanicsville, on a charge of DUI was sentenced to serve 30 days to six months in the county prison beginning Thursday, March 31, at 7 p.m., pay a fine of $750, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, and perform 20 hours of community service. On a charge of selling or furnishing alcohol beverages to minors was fined $1,000 plus costs. Smith was cited by Butler Township police.Wayne Wassel Kechula, 56, Shenandoah, on a charge of simple assault on Steven Mackeravage, Shenandoah, was given credit for spending 55 days in prison and released on probation for 23 months, pay $50 to CJEA, make restitution of $6,166.98 to Department of Public Welfare, have no contact with victim and perform 20 hours community service. On a charge of criminal conspiracy received a concurrent sentence.David Leon Schadler, 59, Shenandoah, on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was placed on probation 30 days, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, and perform 10 hours community service. Rhodes, 33, Lebanon, on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a CS in Pottsville was sentenced to serve 1 1/2 to 3 years in a state correctional institution, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and perform 50 hours of community service when released on probation. On a charge of simple assault on Amy Gerhert and disorderly conduct, drew 12 months probation sentences to run concurrent and on a charge of retail theft of salad valued at $4.22 was fined $100. She also must have no contact with the victim.On a second simple assault charge on Gina Lombardo, Shenandoah, was sentenced to serve an additional 12 months probation and obtain an anger management evaluation and drug and alcohol evaluation.Each defendant must also pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
