A Tamaqua man was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, on Thursday morning, after police responded to a domestic situation at 266 W. Cottage Ave.

Taken into custody was John Tiedeman for allegedly choking and punching Patricia Hill.Tiedeman was charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. He was video arraigned before duty District Judge Charles Reilly, who set bail at $10,000. Unable to post bail, Tiedeman was incarcerated in the county jail.
