Franklin Township Lions Club Student of the Year Awards for the 2010 - 2011 school year were recently presented to Lillian Brown (left) and Shane Williams (right) of Franklin Elementary School. The criteria for the award are for a fourth grade boy and girl who reside in Franklin Township who are "well-rounded students in the academic top 20 percent of their class, must have demonstrated good citizenship throughout their school years, and through courteous and generous behavior have demonstrated to their fellow students, faculty, and community the theme of Lionism - 'People caring for and helping people.'" Each student received a savings bond from the Lions.
