A Jim Thorpe man suffered a fatal heart attack while driving along the Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard (SR209) in Lehighton on Monday afternoon and crashed into three parked cars. Louis Squillace, 47, of 200 South Ave., was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at 3:30 p.m. as Squillace was traveling north when he lost control of his vehicle, swerved to the left, climbed the curb and entered a parking lot. His car struck a parked car in the rear, pushing it into two others. Emergency personnel of the Lehighton paramedics and Lehighton firefighters made a gallant effort to save his life. Lehighton fire police reduced the two lanes of the roadway to one at the scene of the crash. Lehighton police investigated the accident.
