Arrests reported

Nesquehoning police chief Sean Smith reported on the following arrests he made.

Rexvalore Ellison, 14 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, has been charged with retail theft, driving under suspension, expired inspection sticker, and expired registration plate. Ellison was arrested after Smith was called to the Dollar General Store on Sept. 19. Ellison allegedly stole a tracphone and jewelry.Jerry Zemlan, 206 W. Water St., Lansford, was cited for retail theft for an incident on Sept. 28 at the Top Star service station. He allegedly stole a pack of cigarettes.On Oct. 27 Smith was called by security at the coal mines off SR209 for three trespassers. As a result Smith cited Wade Matika, 721 E. Patterson St., Lansford, Michael O'Donnell, 47 E. Berea St., Summit Hill, and Thomas Devitt, 22 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, with defiant trespass.On Oct. 12 Smith was dispatched to a domestic dispute at 204 W. High St. Upon arrival he learned Darlene Keeler was having a dispute with her live-in boyfriend, Raymond Parker. Smith obtained permission to search the residence and seized a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Smith filed charges against Parker on Oct. 19 for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Smith filed a charge of default of required appearance against Adam Kotsko, of 720 Carson St., Hazleton. Smith said Kotsko was sentenced by Carbon County Judge Steven R. Serfass to begin a prison term on Sept. 10 for a corruption of a minor charge.Kotsko did not appear as ordered and fled to Florida. He was arrested in West Palm Beach, Fla., and extradited back to Carbon and incarcerated in the county prison. Kotsko was arraigned on the failure to appear charge and bail was set at $100,000 percentage and he was returned to the jail.
