Blood drive scheduled for ex-Tamaqua football player

A blood drive has been organized for a former Tamaqua Area High School football player who has been diagnosed with leukemia.

Miller-Keystone Blood Center is holding a replacement blood drive on Saturday, Oct. 2 for Harold "H.T." Fryer, who is a 2009 graduate of Tamaqua High who played wide receiver on the Blue Raiders' gridiron squad.The drive, which is being sponsored by the Tamaqua Rescue Squad, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the rescue squad's headquarters at 19 Pine Street.Please contact Kelly or Ed at (570) 668-5044 to schedule an appointment.
