Hydrant flushingThe Summit Hill Water Authority will be flushing fire hydrants from Monday through Friday, April 12-16.Residents may experience low water pressure or slight water discoloration during the process.Borough councilThe monthly meeting of the Summit Hill Borough Council will be held on Tuesday, March 13, at 7 p.m. in the borough hall. Joseph Weber, president, will be in charge of the session.Food distributionThe Summit Hill Food Pantry distributes food to the needy in town on the fourth Tuesday of the month between 10 a.m. and noon.The Summit Hill Lions Club has taken on the task of assisting the pantry with its distributions as a service project. Boxes are usually packed on a Thursday, beginning at 9 a.m., and are distributed on the fourth Tuesday, starting at 9 a.m.For information about the pantry, call Rose Marie Armon, (570) 645-3604 or Sandra Hill, 645-4617.The pantry, a non-denominational entity, is always in need of donations and manual assistance.
