Penn Forest crash

Damages were extensive when a tri-axle dump truck crashed into a parked car along SR534 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. State police at Fern Ridge said Mark L. Burger, 42, of Edwardsville, Luzerne County, was eastbound about 11:47 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, in the dump truck when he said he lost his brakes. The truck left the road and struck a sign of the Liquid Fence Co. and then the rear of a parked 1998 Lincoln Town Car. No one was injured. Troopers cited Burger for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
