A free community meal will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 27 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton.
A Memorial Day Parade will be held in Palmerton on Monday, May 31 beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will form at Second and Delaware Ave., between 9:30 and 10 a.m. The parade will proceed down Delaware to Fifth Street, and continue to Franklin Avenue to the borough park. Memorial services will be held in the park. The parade is organized by the Palmerton American Legion.
The current exhibit in the Feature Room of the Heritage Center, 410 Delaware Ave., is a look back at the first 20 years of the Palmerton Area Historical Society, and five years of the Heritage Center. Special events are planned throughout the year. The center is open Wednesday through Saturday each week at different hours. Phone (610) 824-6954 for a recording of specific times each day.

Teen Advisory Group
The Teen Advisory Group of the Palmerton Area Library will continue to meet during the summer. The next meeting will be after school on Wednesday, June 2.
The group is for teens age 12-19, and is always looking for new members. Summer activities are planned to welcome visitors and encourage more teens to become involved. The group has special activities planned around a water theme.
