Mahoning establishes Web site

Published March 23. 2010 05:00PM

Mahoning Township entered the information age Monday night when they formally announced the rollout of their new website

The new Web site, created by Black Diamond Entertainment Company in coordination with Secretary-Treasurer Natalie Haggerty for the township, offers information to residents and visitors about the township, its services and regulations.

While the plan is for the Web site to grow and expand its services in the future, it does provide residents with meeting times, rules on permits, important phone numbers and links to local sites of interest to residents as well as minutes.

In addition, there is basic information and contacts for emergency services and various boards and commissions in the township.

"We are very happy to announce the release of our new website and invite our residents to visit it," said chairman John Wieczorek during the new business. "We are pleased with the work done by Natalie in leading this project and gathering the information. I also want to thank Black Diamond Entertainment Company for designing the Web site for us."

Residents will have access to approved meeting minutes, demographics information and history; as well as important federal, state and local telephone numbers.

Wieczorek encouraged residents to visit the site.
