It has been decided by the Carbon County Association of Civilian Defense chairmen that the public display of decorative Christmas lighting will be banned for the duration of the war. It was agreed, however, that trees in private homes, yards, and on porches might be displayed, provided that each and every time the tree was lit somebody would be at hand to instantly turn off the lights at the time of an air raid alert.
