Blue Bomber Lifting Competition Sunday

The Sixth Annual Blue Bomber Football Invitational Weightlifting Competition will be held on Sunday, April 25 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Palmerton High School Gymnasium.

Participants must be entering the grades 9 through 12 next year in a Carbon or Schuylkill county school district.For any athlete considering participating, the deadline to register for the competition is April 22nd. There will be two age groups (14-15 and 16-18) and nine weight classes in each age group. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded for each age and weight class. In addition, trophies will be awarded to the Best Overall Lifter in each age group and there will also be a trophy for Best Overall Team performance in each age division. Every head football coach for all A, AA, and AAA teams in District XI received information and registration cards for the meet, but individual registrations can also be done by contacting Paul McArdle at 570-645-8707 or
