Van crashes, woman injured

One person was injured, a female, Wednesday morning when involved in a crash along a snow-covered SR443 in West Penn Township. The crash occurred about 6 a.m. as the van she was a passenger in slid off the roadway and struck a utility pole. As the van sat on the roadway it was struck by an oncoming vehicle. When the van entered the south berm of the roadway it impacted with and snapped off a utility pole. The crash occurred just east of the intersection with Mill Road. The victim was traveling with a man and an infant child. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured. The woman was treated at the scene by members of the Penn Mahoning ambulance. Responding was the West Penn Fire Company No. 1. Township police Officer Jason Lorah is investigating the incident.
