Ted Nugent

Ted Nugent, who has has carved a permanent place in rock and roll history as the guitar-shredding showman, selling more than 40 million albums, performing more than 6,400 high-octane concerts, is making a visit to Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

He will be at the venue at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Opening will be Laura Wilde.

Tickets ar $34 in advance and $39 at the door.

The Lehigh Valley Wine Trail will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its popular Wine on the Mountain festival on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28 from noon to 5 p.m. both days at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Wine on the Mountain features wine samplings and sales from Lehigh Valley wineries, local artisans displaying their arts and crafts, and light fare available for purchase from Roadies Restaurant.

There is also live musical entertainment with the Billy Bauer Duo performing on Saturday and the Jake Kaligis Dynamic Duo performing on Sunday.

Old Crow Medicine Show will be performing at Penn's Peak at 8 p.m. Thursday. The band is noted for the song "Wagon Wheel."

It's a very busy week at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe, starting Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Grateful Dead founding member Phil Lesh will be on the state in concert.

If you don't have tickets, you're out of luck. The concert is sold out.

On Thursday night, the Old Crow Medicine Show brings its unique performance to the venue.

Friday night there's a deck party featuring Free Range Folk, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Then on Friday and Saturday, the 10th annual Wine on the Mountain will be held.

Phil Lesh, a founding member of the Grateful Dead Band, is the next performer on the grand stage of Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

The concert will be held Wednesday, July 24.

Lesh played bass guitar with the Grateful Dead throughout their 30 year career.

Ticket sales are brisk for this concert and there exists a good possibility it could be a sellout.

It's going to be a very busy weekend at Penn's Peak.

Three events are scheduled. They are:

Ÿ Tonight - 7 Bridges, the Ultimate Eagles Tribute Band, 8 p.m. Tickets are $22 at the door.

Ÿ Saturday - Raymond the Amish Comic, 8 p.m. Opening is guest comedian Chipps Cooney. Tickets are $20 at the door. This event contains adult humor.

Ÿ Sunday - Arrival, the music of Abba, 8 p.m. Tickets $22 and $27.

The rock band TESLA will be performing in concert at 8 p.m. Friday at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

The summer line-up is in full swing at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe, featuring all genres of concerts as well as weekly deck parties.

Tonight, it's vintage pop as the "Happy Together" tour stops at the venue. The concert starts at 8 p.m. and features The Turtles, Gary Lewis & the Playboys, Gary Puckett & the Union Gap, Mark Lindsay, former lead singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders, and Chuck Negron, formerly of Three Dog Night.

Tomorrow night, the rock band Tesla will be on the spacious stage.

Eddie and Flo of The Turtles

One of the finest assemblages of oldies groups has occurred with the "Happy Together Tour."

There's Eddie and Flo of the Turtles, Gary Lewis & the Playboys, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, Mark Lindsay, former lead singer of Paul Revere, and Chuck Negron, formerly of Three Dog Night.

Tomorrow night, the Happy Together Tour makes a stop at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe with showtime at 8 p.m. Tickets are $39 and $44.

Country singer Josh Turner is making a return appearance to Penn's Peak on Sept. 26.

You might remember the 60s hits "Times of the Season," "She's Not There," and "Tell Her No."

They were hits by the British band, The Zombies.

The Zombies, featuring Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent, will be making an appearance at Penn's Peak tomorrow night at 8 p.m. Tickets are $27.

"Last year," says Blunstone, "we played in the UK, US, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Holland, Japan and the Philippines. It was incredible."

Satisfaction, a Rolling Stones tribute band, will be performing Friday night at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

The event begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Satisfaction is the international touring tribute show dedicated to the "World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band."

The show has been in production and touring since 2001 with over 1600 performance dates to its credit. It is the only full time touring show of it's kind in the world.
