Danadee Miller-Boyle of Franklin Township is an optimist.
Many 4-H members were down when the Carbon County Fair announced it would cease after last year, but not Miller-Boyle.
She came up with the idea for 4-H members to have their own event, which will give youngsters even better competition than the fair allowed. Thus, the first ever Carbon County Agriculture Heritage Days will open at the Mahoning Farmers Market.
The county fair was the main gallery for the 4-Hers to display the animals and projects which they had worked on all year.
