Caring friends have come to the aid of a woman resident of W. Broadway in Jim Thorpe recently diagnosed with serious medical problems which will require extensive and costly treatments.

The friend that they have chosen to aid is Robin Bierman, who has worked for business establishments in historic Jim Thorpe for a number of years.Stores, restaurants and other businesses in the Jim Thorpe area stepped up by offering prizes in the "Benefit for a Friend" drawing to benefit Robin.
