A Schuylkill County truck stop was robbed early today by a man who brandished a weapon.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the robbery occurred at Gooseberry Farms truck stop located along SR443, at the Interstate 81, in Pine Grove Township.

Troopers said a white male entered the business about 1:17 a.m. and confronted two clerks pointing a black pistol at them and demanding cash.

He had the two clerks dump an undetermined amount of cash from the register drawers into a bag. He then fled on foot and was last seen headed eastbound toward I81.

The two clerks were identified as Matthew Hilty, 20, and Kristen Dunning, 24. Neither one was injured in the incident.

The robber was described as being about six-feet, two-inches tall, weighing 170 pounds and was wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt, light colored blue jeans, and two red bandannas over his face.
