State police at Lehighton are investigating a reported robbery.

Troopers said on Jan. 17 a 20-year-old man from New Ringgold arrived at the barracks around 6 p.m. and reported a robbery that occurred earlier in the day in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

The victim said that around 1 a.m. he was assaulted and robbed of several items valued at around $415 by three men. The suspects are known to the victim, troopers said. The investigation is continuing.

The items reported to be taken included two $50 gift cards to Foot Locker; a black leather Timberland wallet, valued at $25; a silver Apple iPhone 7, valued at $200; and $90 in cash.
