Northern Lehigh School Board, on a 7-0 vote, with Director Gale Husack absent, took the following action last week:

• Authorized a five-year Field Experience Agreement between the district and Wilkes University for an internship, practicum and clinical experience program.

• Approved the initial club/activity application for the middle school Sons of Liberty Club. The club is a precursor to the high school Patriot Club. The club will promote patriotism, and students will raise/lower flags at the middle school. The club will meet twice a month from 2:15-3 p.m., or as needed. The club will adhere to the guidelines within Policy 122.

• Approved the request of Bryan Geist to attend the 52nd Annual Pennsylvania State Athletic Directors Association Conference from March 19-22 at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, with the cost of registration $250, lodging, $400, meals $115, and travel $86, for a total cost of about $851, to be funded from the athletic department budget.

• The school board’s reorganization meeting will be held at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 3, with the regular school board meeting to follow at 7:30 p.m.
