Three people were charged after an altercation in McAdoo on Jan. 17. Jorge Perez, 30, of McAdoo, Sureiya Breton, 32, of Kelayres, and Harlington Plaza, 26, of Allentown, were all at a residence on East Blaine Street for a child custody exchange. Heated words were exchanged and escalated into a physical fight between Perez and Plaza. Breton then became involved in an effort to break up the fight.

Differing accounts of who was the aggressor and the extent of Breton’s involvement led to charges of simple assault and harassment for each of the men and harassment charges for Breton.

Ray Rivera, 26, of McAdoo, was charged with harassment after police received a call from his girlfriend on Saturday. The victim said the couple was arguing when Rivera began pulling her hair. He said he pulled her by the hair to stop her from breaking his PlayStation 4 console.

Christopher Barachie, 37, of McAdoo, was charged with simple assault and harassment after he reportedly struck a woman several times on Feb. 6. The victim had visible facial injuries, including a small cut, swelling and a bruise on her forehead.

Domitilo Zavala, 27, of McAdoo, was charged with simple assault and harassment for a domestic incident on Feb. 6. Police were called to the unit block of North Kennedy Drive, where they found the female victim with dried blood on her face and cuts to her chin and nose.
