Mahoning Township Police Department reported the following incidents:

•Sometime between April 29 and May 1, a residence on Fredericks Grove Road was broken into. Several firearms were stolen from the home. Tip submissions via the police department’s Facebook page, or by phone at 570-386-2241. Reference case number 263-2019.

•At 11:13 a.m. April 17, the Mahoning Academy on Mahoning Drive East reported finding marijuana during a search inside the school. Police seized marijuana. Charges are pending against a 15-year-old student.

• On April 5, a resident reported the theft of two BMX style bicycles from a shed. One bike is black and white with a pink brake handle, while the other bike is blue. Tip submissions via the department’s Facebook page, or by phone at 570-386-2241. Reference case number 214-2019.
