LCCC Offers Small Business Job Training

Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer certification and training for businesses or professionals in the following areas. Times and locations vary. There is a cost for each class.

• QuickBooks offers small businesses training on managing revenues and expenses, working with payroll and bank accounts, monitoring budgets and inventory with reports and graphs and much more. Class will be held Fridays, Feb. 21 through April 3, from 9 a.m. to noon at LCCC main campus.

• BYOB: Brand Your Own Business Series runs on Thursdays from 6:30 to 9 p.m., at LCCC’s Allentown site. These courses will help students learn how to create a strong brand and manage your company. Remaining in the series is the March 5 course, which will cover how to build your own brand and get the word out with 21st century marketing. The April 2 course will cover resource management and the May 7 course will cover networking.

• Grant Writing Boot Camp is a class that will run on March 14 from 8:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. In this boot camp, board members, community volunteers and upper-level business management are all encouraged to join in and learn about research, develop grant opportunities, key grant proposals, types of funding sources and private donations. Learn to develop ideas, file for a patent and capitalize on an invention by leasing your patent rights for royalties. Patent Your Invention is offered on Wednesday, March 18, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Schnecksville campus. Fee is $93.
