An addiction rehabilitation center opening in Coal Township will serve Schuylkill County.

Gaudenzia, a nonprofit recovery organization, plans to open the center, which will serve Lycoming, Luzerne, Columbia, Montour, Snyder, Union, Schuylkill and Northumberland counties.

The facility currently offers outpatient services for adults and youth. In June, it will start providing residential and inpatient care.

Gaudenzia will host an open house and dedication for its revamped center, at 500 Northumberland County Drive, on June 28. The open house will start at 12:30 p.m.
