A two-day paragliding festival kicks off Saturday at Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton.

The Pennsylvania Paragliders will launch near the summit of the mountain and soar over spectators in homemade costumes.The event will take place from approximately 10 a.m. to dusk on Saturday and Sunday and is free to the public.Over 30 pilots plan to participate in the flight festivities.Organizers said the Festival of Flight is modeled after the iconic Icarus Cup in France and will feature the "twisting, diving and aerial acrobatics."Flights are weather permitting.
