Warrant for Polk Twp. man in case involving Carbon girl

State police are searching for a 39-year-old Monroe County man accused of having sexually explicit communications with a 14-year-old Carbon County girl.

Justin Geoffrey Budelman, of Kunkletown, is wanted on charges including unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility and corruption of minors.

Police said they have obtained an arrest warrant for Budelman and a search warrant for his cellphone as part of the investigation.

Authorities believe Budelman may be driving a gray or silver 2015 Volkswagen Jetta with Pennsylvania registration MCY-3951. The vehicle was last detected Sept. 30 traveling west on Interstate 80 in Ohio.

According to police, Budelman is prohibited from possessing firearms because of his criminal history but may have a 9 mm handgun. He has also competed in amateur mixed martial arts. Police advise anyone who encounters Budelman not to approach him and to contact authorities immediately.

Budelman is described as 6 feet tall, weighing about 165 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. His last known address is Ashley Court, Polk Township.

Police said tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest or helps locate a wanted person.
