Schuylkill County Judge Jacqueline Russell has sentenced 12 people who were charged locally to probation. All were ordered to pay court costs and fees in addition to their sentences.

Grace M. Winters, 48, of Tamaqua: Charged by Rush Township police on Nov. 23, 2014, with two counts of simple assault and disorderly conduct.Russell sentenced her to 12 months probation, and to perform 20 hours of community service. Winters was also ordered to have a mental health evaluation and have no contact with the victim.One count of simple assault and the disorderly conduct charges were dropped.Jason Weaver, 34, of Lansford: Charged by McAdoo police on Feb. 25, 2014, with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Russell sentenced him to 12 months probation, and to perform 20 hours of community service. Weaver was also ordered to have a drug and alcohol evaluation. The charge of possession of a controlled substance was dropped.Troy Williams, 38, of Mahanoy City: Charged by Mahanoy City police on April 8 with institutional vandalism and possession of drug paraphernalia.Russell sentenced him to 12 months probation, and to perform 20 hours of community service. Williams was also ordered to have a drug and alcohol evaluation. The charge of possession of paraphernalia was dropped.Jonathan Evanco, 22, of McAdoo: Charged by Kline Township police on Jan. 14 with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.Russell sentenced him to 18 months probation, and to perform 20 hours of community service. Williams was also ordered to have a drug and alcohol evaluation. He was ordered to stay out of Boyer's market.Nicholas Hux, 20, of Barnesville: Charged by Rush Township police with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on March 11.Russell sentenced him to 12 months probation, and to perform 20 hours of community service. Williams was also ordered to have a drug and alcohol evaluation. The charge of possession of paraphernalia was dropped.Violet Lech, 56, of Coal Township: Charged by McAdoo police with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on Nov. 22, 2014.Russell sentenced her to 23 months probation and to perform 20 hours of community service. Lech was also ordered to have a drug and alcohol evaluation. The charges of possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia were dropped.Melissa Emerich, 25, of Tamaqua: Charged by Tamaqua police with theft and receiving stolen property on Feb. 10.Russell sentenced her to 12 months probation, to pay $147.09 in restitution to Dunkin' Donuts, and to perform 20 hours of community service. Lech was also ordered to have a drug and alcohol evaluation. The charge of receiving stolen property was dropped.Trevor Christman, 21, of Coaldale: Charged by Coaldale police with resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia on April 24.Russell sentenced him to 23 months probation, and to perform 20 hours of community service. Christman was also ordered to have a drug and alcohol evaluation. The charge of possession of paraphernalia was dropped.Rocco Westpy, 27, of Summit Hill: Charged by Rush Township police with retail theft, receiving stolen property and scattering rubbish on March 27.Russell sentenced him to 23 months probation, and to perform 20 hours of community service. He was also ordered to stay out of Walmart. The charges of receiving stolen property and scattering rubbish were dropped.Tyrell Rucker, 25, of Tamaqua; Charged by Tamaqua police with unsworn falsification and making false reports on May 26.Russell sentenced him to 12 months probation, and to perform 20 hours of community service. He was also ordered to have a mental health evaluation. The charge of false reports was dropped.Trent Jacoby, 35, of St. Clair: Charged by Rush Township, police with possession of drug paraphernalia and retail theft on June 25.Russell sentenced him to 12 months probation, and to perform 20 hours of community service. He was also ordered to stay out of Walmart. Jacoby was also ordered to have a mental health evaluation. The charge of retail theft was dropped.Shante Richards, age unknown, of Tamaqua: Charged by Coaldale police with terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment on Jan. 24.Russell sentenced him to 23 months probation, and to perform 20 hours of community service. He was also ordered to have a mental health evaluation. The charges of simple assault and harassment were dropped.
