Zoning officer resigns in Summit Hill
Summit Hill’s zoning officer said he is resigning effective Jan. 31.
Bill Kirklosky, who has held the position for a number of years, initially announced his resignation several months ago but agreed to retain the post until a replacement is found.
Borough Secretary-Treasurer Kira Steber said the part-time job was advertised. She said she received several phone calls from people inquiring about the position but hasn’t gotten any formal letters of interest.
The duties, besides zoning officer, also include rental inspector.
Anyone interested in the appointment should send a letter of interest to the attention of Steber at the borough hall.
A letter will be sent to Kirklosky thanking him for his service to the borough.
The council is hoping to fill the position at a special meeting of council on Feb. 5.
