A successor to complete the unexpired term of the late Harvey Hiller as Register of Wills in Carbon County will be named during a meeting of top Democratic leaders in the county. The recommendation will then go to Harrisburg for Gov. George M. Leader's confirmation.

Miss Ann Cipko, Nesquehoning, deputy in that office, is serving as the register in interim, having been sworn into office by Judge James C. McCready.The person appointed to the position will only serve until the next municipal election, according to the County Code. It was previously believed the successor would serve until the end of Hiller's term in 1960.
