St. John's United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton will hold worship services Sundayat 10:30 a.m. Sunday school is at 9 a.m. During the worship service a ceremony will be held to receive and welcome new members into the church family.Lenten services will be held Wednesday evenings, tonight, Feb. 24, Mar. 9 and 16. Every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. everyone is welcome to Fellowship Hall to share food and fellowship. Soup will be provided, please bring your own sandwich if you desire. A sign-up sheet has been posted; please consider volunteering to make a pot of soup. A Lenten service will be at 7 p.m. each week and the theme will be: A Journey Through Lent with Symbols and Prayer. Each week the focus of the service will be a different symbol of Lent.
