A motorcyclist was injured Friday evening in a crash in West Penn Township. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. when the biker was traveling along Route 895 about a mile east of Route 309 when he struck a deer. The victim was treated at the scene by medics before being transported to a nearby trauma center. West Penn fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the roadway.
