Carbon County commissioners approved or ratified the following actions at their meeting Thursday:

• Authorized the necessary advertisements for the 2027 budget.

• Authorized the advertisement for request for statements of interest/statement of qualifications for a county municipal bridge engineer registered as an ECMS business partner with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

• Children and Youth purchase of service agreements for 2026-27 with Hoffman Homes, Littlestown; Pressley Ridge, Pittsburgh; and Renaissance Psychological & Counseling Corp., Kingston.

• Agreement with Forensic Pathology Associates, doing business as Health Network Laboratories of Allentown, for services for the coroner’s office for 2027.

• Resolution authorizing the application to the state Department of Community and Economic Development for a Monroe Local Share Account grant for $94,882.57 to buy a vehicle for the coroner’s office.

• A quote from S.A. Comunale of West Lawn for service to the sprinkler system in the courthouse at a cost of $9,480 and 44 Susquehanna St. at a cost of $51,560.

• The initial allocation letter from the state Department of Human Services for the 2026/2027 MATP Program listing the initial allocation of $1,081,614.

• Cooperation agreement with Mauch Chunk Historical Society related to an LSA Monroe grant contract for the Mauch Chunk Opera House accessibility and ADA compliance project.

• Purchase/service agreement with Edwards Business Systems of Wyomissing for a Konica Minolta Bizhub C3321i copier at a cost of $2,254 at the purchasing office. Maintenance will be fixed for the first three years with a 5% increase each year afterward.

• Agreement with Mechanical Services Company of Pittston to perform annual inspections of 15 county generators at various sites at a cost of $9,265 per year. Additional charges for parts, labor and travel expenses. The agreement begins Sept. 17, 2026, and continues for one year and year to year thereafter until terminated.

• Agreement with CGI Communications, CGI Digital, to provide up to six one-minute videos highlighting Carbon County. The county will display these on the county website’s Community Video Program link. This is sponsored by the National Association of Counties and is free of charge.

• Cost reimbursement agreements with Pocono Counties Workforce Development Board and Workforce Alliance of Honesdale from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

• Resolution acknowledging the 75th anniversary of the Mahoning Valley Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1. Commissioners Chairman Michael Sofranko encouraged residents to get out and support the fire company as they celebrate.

• CAMA Software agreement with Vision Government Solutions Inc. of Hudson, Massachusetts, for Vision 8 CAMA Software subscription: $45,500/year; DataScout Web Services, $14,750 a year; and Cloud subscription services, $11,500 a year, for an annual total cost of $71,750.

• CAMA Software agreement with Vision Government Solutions for Vision 8 CAMA Software implementation services at a cost of $100,000, 2026; $100,000, 2027; $100,000, 2028; and $65,000, 2029, for a total cost of $365,000.
