The Palmerton Area Democratic Club will hold its opening meeting for the fall at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Palmerton Pub, 302 Delaware Ave. (back room), Palmerton.

The meeting will be preceded by a social hour beginning at 5:45 p.m., with dinner served at 6:15 p.m.

Three speakers will help roll out campaign plans and volunteer opportunities for the fall election season:

• Christian Ayers from the State Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign.

• Jack Werner from Bob Brooks campaign for the 7th Congressional District seat.

• Lisa Kavcak from the Voter Protection Program.
