Letter to the editor: How do you feel about money?

My Dad, who was born over 100 years ago in Packerton, held onto every penny. Money meant more to him than the happiness of his children. Unfortunately, it was true.

However, he always told me we had the greatest country in the world. He also said, if you do have money, it creates opportunities. Today you have a chance to help prevent a constitutional crisis with a tiny portion of that money.

According to a CBS report two weeks ago, the Republican Party campaign had $657.1 million vs. the Democrats $226.3 million. (That’s 3X more.) If you add in the Republican Super Pacs (Money that can’t be donated to individual campaigns), it’s $1,050 billion vs. the $226.3 million for Democrats. (Almost 5X more.)

Todd Blanche, Trump’s previous personal attorney and a former prosecutor for the Southern District of NY, has been confirmed as the Head of the Justice Department of the U.S.

The NYC Bar Association opposed his confirmation and stated in the letter sent to the Senate that as Acting Attorney General, Mr. Blanche “compromised the integrity and independence of the Department he is nominated to lead.” Our country is now run by a crime family. There are no off ramps or guard rails.

The Epstein survivors will never be validated. And Trump will continue to abuse the boundaries of the presidency.

If you are able, I urge you to donate to critical Democratic campaigns across the country to take back our House and Senate. Whether you are a conservative or liberal Democrat, an Independent, or a Republican, we ALL need Democrats to win this election.

My Dad, who was a Republican, would agree.
