Albert Huber of Jim Thorpe was honored yesterday for his 65 years of membership in the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.

The retired railroader was visited by brotherhood officials, including Q.C. Gabriel of Pittsburgh, who presented Huber a certificate and pin in recognition of his long service. Gabriel was accompanied by John C. Duffy of Jim Thorpe, president of Local 100, of which Huber has been a member since 1899, T.J. Dougherty of Jim Thorpe, chairman of the local, Edward McLaughlin, chairman of Local 346, Allentown, and James R. Hankey of Lindhurst, N.J., general chairman of the brotherhood.

Huber was only 14 when he started tending switches on the Reading Railroad in Tamaqua.
