West Penn Township supervisors approved the following matters Tuesday morning:
• Agreed to spend $384 for an E-1600-60A HandsFree Police phone so that if an officer is not in the office, it will call the nonemergency number for the county. Then they would give the officer a message to either come back to the station or call whomever is at the door.
• Agreed to advertise the township road department’s 2006 Ford F-550 dump truck for sale on Municibid, with a reserve of $10,000.
• Announced that the township tax collector’s hours include 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 25, 26 and 27 at 625 Penn Drive (Route 443), Tamaqua.
