Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following:

• A stipend in the amount of $500 for Andrew Kern for high school website maintenance and working with students during the 2026-2027 school year. Stipend to be funded by the General Fund High School Student Activities Fund.

• A stipend in the amount of $1,000 for Andrew Kern for maintenance and updates of the district website during the 2026-2027 school year. Stipend to be funded by the superintendent’s budget.

• A stipend in the amount of $500 for Andrew Kern for Middle School website maintenance and working with students during the 2026-2027 school year. Stipend to be funded by the General Fund Middle School Student Activities Fund.

• A stipend of $500 for Janet Bashore for maintenance and updates of the Peters Elementary website during the 2026-2027 school year. Stipend to be funded by Peters Elementary principal’s discretionary account.

• A stipend of $500 for Kori Dibilio for maintenance and updates of the Slatington Elementary website during the 2026-2027 school year. Stipend to be funded by Slatington Elementary principal’s discretionary account.

• A stipend in the amount of $650 for creating the Peters Elementary School Yearbook for the 2026-2027 school year to be awarded to Kayla Perkowski. Stipend to be funded by the Peters Elementary School budget.

• A stipend in the amount of $750 for creating the Slatington Elementary School Yearbook for the 2026-2027 school year to be awarded to Michelle Brown. Stipend to be funded by the Slatington Elementary School budget.

• Rachel Hams as a volunteer assistant cross country coach

Club applications

The stipends for the following will be added to the Collective Bargaining Agreement:

• Approve the initial club/activity application for the Northern Lehigh Junior Theatre Club. The Northern Lehigh Education Association recommended stipend for the adviser of this club, Sarah Krasaencis, is $200 for the 2026-2027 school year.

• Approve the initial club/activity application for the NL Studios Video Club. The Northern Lehigh Education Association recommended stipend for the adviser of this club, Andrew Kern and Nicholas Sander, is $200 shared stipend for the 2026-2027 school year.

• Approve the initial club/activity application for the NLHS Renaissance Leadership Club. The Northern Lehigh Education Association recommended stipend for the adviser of this club, Christopher McCarty, is $200 for the 2026-2027 school year.

• The final club/activity application for the NL Theatre Company. The Northern Lehigh Education Association’s recommended shared stipend for the advisers, Stephen Shuey and Kayla Driscoll, to be $4,000 beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

• The final club/activity application for the NL Unity Club. The Northern Lehigh Education Association’s recommended stipend for the adviser, Megan Farkas, to be $700 beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

Other appointments

• Jamie Farber to attend the 2026 ACAPA Fall Conference- Nov. 4-6, Hershey. Cost, $1,018. Funding to come from Assistant Superintendent PD Budget and Director of Technology PD Budget.

• Rescind the appointment for Michael Smith as year 2 helping teacher for Morgan Kemmerer during the 2026-2027 school year approved on the Aug. 11, 2025 board agenda.

• Approve to authorize the superintendent and middle school principal to execute a letter of agreement for the 2026-2027 academic year with the Center for Humanistic Change, Inc. to provide Student Assistance Program Liaison services. The Student Assistance Teams in the school district will use these services.

• Administration to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding, beginning in the 2026-2027 school year with Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley to promote prevention programming in Northern Lehigh Middle School and respond appropriately to students who have been victimized.

• The following teachers as helping teachers in the Northern Lehigh School District Induction Program:

Jenna Martin (inductee Abigail Brossman), $800 stipend.

• Steven Jonkman and Winterford “Jay” Ohland (Inductee Elliot Stowman), $400 stipend each

Lori McWilliams (inductee Morgan Kemmerer), $800 stipend.

• Approve to authorize proper officials to enter into an agreement between the Northern Lehigh School District and Lehigh Learning Academy for the purpose of furnishing regular education or special education programs for the students for the 2026-2027 school year.

• Approve the 2026-2027 ORI Renewal Agreement at a cost of $2,437.50. Funding through Special Education Budget.

• Approve proper officials to enter into an agreement with Bucks County Intermediate Unit to comply with the requirement, goals and to strive to accomplish the objectives of Pennsylvania’s Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness Program.

• Allow administration to continue membership in the Lehigh University School Study Council at a fee of $2,000 for the 2026-2027 school year, to be paid from the Superintendent’s budget.

• Approve the request of the senior high school to close the Class of 2026 account in accordance with the Student Activities Fund guidelines. The account balance is $181.82 and the funds will be transferred to the Student Council account.

• Set breakfast and lunch meal prices: Adult Breakfast from $2.95 to $3.05; Lunch from $4.85 to 5.05.
