The 31st annual Pocono Prayer Breakfast will take place on Oct. 9 at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Pocono Summit, bringing community members and leaders together for a morning centered on prayer, fellowship and shared values.

For more than 30 years, the Pocono Prayer Breakfast has served as a longstanding community tradition, welcoming people from all backgrounds to gather in prayer and reflection.

The event provides an inclusive, nonpolitical setting for attendees to come together in support of their community, country, families and shared values.

The Pocono Prayer Breakfast is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization and is not a fundraiser.

This year’s featured speaker will be Kevin Downes, actor and producer. Downes will share his personal experiences and reflections with attendees as part of the morning’s program.

The event will also feature performances from the Faith Christian School Praise Team and the Stroudsburg High School Band.

The Stroudsburg High School Band will continue its tradition of leading the event’s military tribute, which it has done for more than 20 years.

Doors open at 6:15 a.m., with breakfast from 6:15 to 7:15 a.m. The program runs from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m., with social time from 8:30 to 9 a.m.

The Pocono Prayer Breakfast was founded by Jack and Paula Muehlhan with the goal of creating an opportunity for the community to come together in prayer.

Over the years, the event has grown into an annual gathering that brings together people from a wide range of backgrounds and professions.

With its continued focus on God, Country and Community, the 31st annual Pocono Prayer Breakfast invites attendees to begin their day in fellowship, reflection and prayer.
