Approximately 150 people attended the service of installation of the Rev. R. Haines Moffat as pastor of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bowmanstown.

He was presented for installation by Mrs. Jeanette Eckhart, president of the church consistory.

The Rev. Russell Heintzelman, president of the Blue Mountain Association of the United Church of Christ, was the installing officer and liturgist.

Rev. Moffat is a native of Bethlehem who graduated from the School of Theology in Claremont, California. In addition to serving Emmanuel, he will pastor Dinkey Memorial Church, Ashfield, whose parish is “buying” pastoral services from Emmanuel on a one-year trial basis.
